SMS Phone Locator is a safe, effective and privacy-respecting app. However, Google Play's new policies restrict SMS permissions for third-party apps, and no longer allow device location by independent apps, even when used legitimately and securely.

Google Pixel & Xiaomi — RCS / Chat / SMS blocked
Some phones — especially Google Pixel and Xiaomi — use advanced features such as Chat / RCS, spam filters and background restrictions. These may prevent SMS Phone Locator from receiving or sending SMS commands.
GPS:code or RING:code may not work.
Before changing advanced settings, make sure that:
💡 If commands don't work, RCS or a spam filter is likely the cause.
2.1 Disable RCS:
✅ Messages will now be sent as standard SMS — required for proper operation.
2.2 Check spam & blocked numbers:
Xiaomi uses aggressive power management that may block SMS in the background.
3.1 Permissions:
Settings → Apps → Manage → SMS Phone Locator → Permissions
3.2 Allow auto-start:
Security → Permissions → Auto-start → enable for SMS Phone Locator.
3.3 Battery — No restrictions:
Battery → Optimization → SMS Phone Locator → No restrictions
⚠️ If optimization remains active, Xiaomi may prevent the app from running in the background.
